Henrick is now making a name for himself by reaching the long-awaited milestone of signing his first professional contract.

After being part of the squads led by Habib Beye and Sébastien Tambouret against Chantilly and Paris, the midfielder made his Ligue 1 debut at the Abbé-Deschamps, coming on for Mahdi Camara under Franck Haise. A Red and Black player since 2017, when he joined at U12 level after starting out in Mayenne, Henrick has established himself as one of the leaders of the 2006 generation. Initially trained as a forward, he later moved into an attacking midfield role.

Henrick Do Marcolino :
« I’m very happy; it was my wish to continue with Stade Rennais, my formative club where I’ve been playing for eight years. My hard work is being rewarded, shortly after discovering Ligue 1. I’m ready to work hard to show everyone that this contract isn’t down to luck. I want to keep progressing and fight to earn my place. Four Do Marcolinos have signed professional contracts at Stade Rennais, three of them recently—that probably doesn’t happen very often (laughs). The family is very happy! »

Denis Arnaud, Director of the Academy :
« Henrick joined the football school, so he has completed his entire development in Rennes: it’s a real source of pride to see him sign today. He is a talented player, but above all he has an exceptional work ethic. He has shown patience, and this is a well-deserved reward for his efforts. Knowing his mentality, I am convinced that he will go far at Stade Rennais. »
