Stade Rennais F.C. hosted Olympique de Marseille in the Gambardella quarter-finals.

After a lively start, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute. Enzo Sternal and Keyliane Abdallah linked up and the latter struck a shot from the edge of the area to open the scoring. The Rouge et Noir hit back before half-time with a Mathis Lambourde strike from a Dorian Fraeyman service. In the second half, the game was not dominated by the stakes, and the Bretons and the Phocéens took it in turns to create chances. It was Olympian striker Darryl Bakola who made the difference in the 93rd minute with a long-range shot.

Sébastien Tambouret's players, after a consistent and strong tournament, came up against the Olympians and will not see the next round.

Florian Truffert : « We're disappointed, but we'd like to thank the fans for their support, who were there for us in the previous game against Guingamp. That's football, a high-stakes game. We need to mature further. It's been a good run, with some great teams we've played against, so we're taking positives from it, even if the disappointment is predominant. ».
