Having lost out on penalties on the final day of the Challenge Espoirs, Sébastien Tambouret's men were awaiting the outcome of Tuesday's match between Paris FC and SM Caen to find out whether they would face Toulouse in the semi-finals. The answer is yes, as Caen, who needed a win to move ahead of Rennes in the standings, managed no better than a 2-2 draw away to Paris FC. The Rouge et Noir therefore finish second in Pool B, which is dominated by Monaco, who host Montpellier for a place in the final.
