Franck Haise
The reaction after Lyon:
“We bounced back after that heavy defeat at Lyon and a first half that wasn’t good enough. It was good to respond in the second half because it’s never easy to get the squad back on track after an international break, with thirteen players missing. We saw it in attack too – we were too slow. Initially, we were lacking too much, both individually and as a team. My midfielders need to play and get into their rhythm. The opposition did some good things, particularly in attacking transitions. Today, we were effective.”
Auxerre’s disruption:
“When you don’t make the necessary defensive efforts and they’re skilful in those kinds of situations… It would have been logical to be trailing at half-time. If you listen to my voice, it’s been a long time since I’ve raised my voice like that – it was necessary. We analysed the footage first, and we also needed the vocal aspect.”
Winning coaching:
“The substitutes did well; they didn’t all score two goals like Boulaye, but I’m convinced there’ll be more to come in the next few days. It was Djaoui’s return to competitive action, and he did some great things; Eli’ (Mayenda) gave it his all. Everyone came on well, with a much more positive vibe. ”
6 matches, 13 points:
“Every match has its own story. Brice also made a crucial save when we were hanging on by a thread – we mustn’t forget that. Other stories will be written. What matters is what’s happening now and what’s going to happen. We’ve still got a lot of progress to make, but we’re on 13 points after 6 matches. For a start, there’s that consistency in the points tally. We need to improve our consistency in terms of performance; that’s our objective with the coaching staff and the players. We need to maintain our efficiency to keep picking up points; it’s better to be on 13 points like Lille or us, given the room for improvement we have. ”
A united squad:
“One of my challenges is to ensure as many players as possible are keen to contribute to the team, regardless of their playing time. That’s one of the keys to long-term success. If anyone thinks we can field just 14 players over a season that includes European competition, that’s impossible. These players must come on with the desire to help the team. Bryan? Every time he’s played, he’s been good. Frankie? I didn’t need to wait for this international break to realise he could play on the left (smiles).’

Boulaye Dia
« I’m pleased with the win. It was a tough one; we were given a bit of a dressing-down at half-time. That’s what we need every now and then. We managed to show a different side to ourselves in the second half. When we play to our strengths, we can be very good, especially at home, and that paid off today. We’ve got a quality squad. We all need to be ready when the manager calls on us. Tonight it was my turn; next time it’ll be someone else’s, for the good of the team. We’re going to stay calm and focused. »
