Cheered on by an entire nation all the way to the final, the Atlas Lions finally lost 1-0 to Senegal in the tournament final after a crazy scenario, a long interruption, Brahim Diaz's Panenka penalty saved by Édouard Mendy, and Pape Gueye's rocket shot to give victory to the Lions of Teranga.
Although he did not get the chance to play during the competition, these moments and the silver medal will go down in history for Hamid, who will soon be returning to the Red and Blacks.
