Eight months after his first two caps for the Fennecs, the Rennes striker made his mark on Tuesday against Libya, scoring a brace at the Benghazi International Stadium. He opened the scoring in the 29th minute to put his team ahead (0-1), then added a second in the 71st minute to seal Algeria’s victory (1-5). It was a performance that did not go unnoticed, as he was named “Man of the Match”.
Next up for the young Fennecs: a highly anticipated clash with Morocco, which could already prove decisive in the race for qualification for the continental finals.
