A forward from the 2006 age group, Djibril Diallo first honed his footballing skills in the Île-de-France region. Having played for AJ Limeil-Brévannes, US Créteil and US Lusitanos Saint-Maur, the right-footed player then continued his development at the Centre Formation Foot Paris before joining the Rouge et Noir Academy at U14 level.

From the moment he arrived, Djibril stood out for his ease on the ball and his selflessness. A strength of character that the young player has managed to maintain despite the injuries that have punctuated his career. The most recent, a cruciate ligament rupture, has kept him off the pitch this season and forced him into a long period of rehabilitation.

This signing demonstrates the confidence Stade Rennais F.C. has in a resilient, hard-working player who is determined to continue his career in the Rouge et Noir colours. Congratulations, Djibril!

Djibril Diallo: “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and I’m very grateful to the club. Stade Rennais has helped me grow, both as a player and as a person. It’s the human side of things that stands out most for me. This is my family. I’d like to thank the Academy Director, Denis Arnaud, the club, and all the coaches who have enabled me to sign this first professional contract. But this is just the beginning; there’s still a long way to go.”

Denis Arnaud, Academy Director: “Djibril is a talented player who, for the past two years, has been going through a period marked by serious injuries. Once again, we remind the lads that the club upholds strong values and that, above all, it is a family. When a young player faces difficulties, the club has a duty to be there for him, to show him our confidence and to support him so that, in the future, he can fully express his talent. Today, Djibril is a mature young man. His work ethic and mindset will enable him to achieve his goals.”
