« An incomprehensible defeat? No, it's a very understandable defeat. We showed some very serious shortcomings. We had identified and worked on the potential dangers and we didn't manage to avoid them during the match. Despite the five goals we conceded, we also did some quite exceptional things in our use of the ball and our movement. If you have to score six goals to win, it's not possible. We have limitations that cost us the match.

In some areas, very few of our opponents have the weapons that Brest have, and that's a reflection of our shortcomings. There was certainly a bit of naivety and a bit of clumsiness. We should have got away with a draw and kept the 4-4 scoreline after the 4-2.

You can talk about a lack of maturity and a lack of precision in certain areas. There were a lot of good things going forward too, but it's a paradox because we also showed character and risk-taking in structuring the team to score. At 4-4 we were still very dominant, and we knew that the challenge was to push them away from the box. When they came, it was all over.

There are three games left, nine points at stake, and the best place is certainly 7th, which will qualify if Paris win the Coupe de France. Depending on the other results, we may not have the upper hand either, so we need to refocus on ourselves and digest this, hoping that the group will digest it quickly and switch to Metz. We're not giving up, it's not allowed, there's still a lot at stake.

In the dressing room? It was quiet. »
