Mathys Silistrie is continuing his progress with Stade Rennais F.C. Having joined the club from Évreux in 2018, the goalkeeper joined the academy two years after his first steps at La Piverdière. Notably brilliant in the Gambardella Cup during the 2022/2023 season, winning three penalty shoot-outs, the keeper has gone through every stage with the Rouge et Noir.
This season, he has been at his best under Sébastien Tambouret, with 20 National 3 matches to his name and 7 appearances in the Challenge Espoirs. Like Jérémy Jacquet, the keeper of the 2005 generation also made his first appearance for the club when they played Brest in January. From a victory in the U14 Brittany Cup with Désiré Doué to Roazhon Park.
On Tuesday, at the age of 19, he initialled his first professional contract with his training club. Congratulations Mathys!
