Baptiste Santamaria recently passed the 100-match mark for the Rouge et Noir in all competitions. A symbolic milestone for the Frenchman, a regular starter, tireless worker and midfield regulator. Having arrived in 2021 from Freiburg and the Bundesliga, the former Angers man has established himself in Rennes' various systems. This season, he wore the captain's armband against Guingamp.

Baptiste Santamaria :
« It's a significant milestone that shows I'm in it for the long haul with the club. There's also a high percentage of wins, which is great and validates the work that's been done. In the dressing room, it's also my role to support and give advice, and I enjoy doing that. »

Olivier Cloarec, Executive Chair and Managing Director :
« Seeing Baptiste reach this symbolic milestone is truly satisfying. We're very pleased that he's one of those players who has made a long-term commitment to Stade Rennais F.C. Baptiste knows this league inside out, demonstrating longevity and genuine leadership qualities. It's no coincidence that the team's revival also coincided with his return to form. »
