It was in Saint-Étienne, in the heat of the Chaudron, that Arnaud Nordin made his Ligue 1 debut in 2016. He celebrated with a victory against Lille and a goal as a professional. After passing through the Verts' training centre, where he rubbed shoulders with Mahdi Camara, the striker had a solid first season before joining Nancy on loan. Seasoned by Ligue 2 competition, he played an active role in helping the Lorraine club stay up before returning to Forez and establishing himself as a regular starter under all his successive coaches.

8 seasons in Ligue 1

A regular in the French national youth teams (U16, U18, U19 and Espoirs), the Paris native experienced Olympic glory in Japan. Called up by Sylvain Ripoll in 2021, the striker played in two matches against Mexico and South Africa before returning to his club. During the 2021/2022 season, he made 36 appearances in 38 matches, scoring four goals and providing five assists. Particularly active on his wing, the striker bounced back at Montpellier while ASSE fell to the second division.

The Mosson supporters quickly took to this player with his accurate shooting, ability to accelerate and cause havoc in the opposition's defence. Arnaud Nordin enjoyed two and a half eventful seasons in the Hérault, scoring 19 goals in 75 matches. A recognised player in the league, he was courted by Mainz and moved to Germany in the 2025 winter transfer window. Mainly used as an attacking midfielder in Germany, the Frenchman chose to return to France after 25 appearances for Mainz, joining Stade Rennais F.C. on loan until the end of the season.

Arnaud Pouille, Executive Chairman – Managing Director of Stade Rennais F.C.:

"The transfer window closes with a third arrival, Arnaud, who represents a great opportunity. His knowledge of Ligue 1, with nearly 200 matches under his belt, is a significant asset. He has also participated in the Olympic Games and discovered German football with Mainz.

On a personal level, everyone's feedback about him is unanimous. His strong determination to join SRFC also convinced us."

Loïc Désiré, Sporting Director of Stade Rennais F.C.:

"We are delighted that Arnaud is joining Stade Rennais. As soon as the project was presented to him, Arnaud showed his desire to come to Brittany. We were looking for an additional attacking player who was technical, versatile and experienced. He will be reunited with players he knows, notably Mahdi Camara, whom he played alongside at Saint-Étienne. His profile complements that of the other forwards perfectly. He will bring speed, dribbling skills, shooting ability and his whole range of talents to our game."

Arnaud Nordin :
‘I am very proud to be joining Stade Rennais. I can't wait to get started, to play at Roazhon Park and, I hope, to bring many victories to the supporters. I spoke at length with Loïc Désiré, we hit it off straight away, and I was motivated by the project he proposed.’
