Facing AS St-Etienne in the final, the Red and Blacks won 1-0 thanks to a penalty goal by Henrick Do Marcolino in the 13th minute. In 2016, Rennes won by the same score against Leicester. Stade Rennais F.C. has now won the competition six times (2000, 2002, 2012, 2013, 2016). This is the second title for the Rouge et Noir Academy in 2025, after winning the Coupe Gambardella last May against Dijon.

Individual awards: Joël-Emmanuel Coulibaly was voted ‘best player’ of the tournament. The Rennes midfielder succeeds Jonathan Do Marcolino. Kilian Belazzoug, who made an exceptional save in extra time, was named ‘best goalkeeper’ of the 27th edition of the European U21 tournament and becomes the second Rouge et Noir goalkeeper to win this title after Victor Pelleray in 2016.
