This Gambardella Cup quarter-final against Lyon was a match dominated from start to finish by William Stanger’s players. Dominant in attack and disciplined in defence, the U18s left no room for doubt in this encounter, comfortably securing their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
They took the lead in the first half thanks to two goals from Boukary Coulibaly and Mouhammad Valmy. After the break, the Red and Blacks maintained their high standards and even sealed the win with a third goal scored by Elias Quiñonez.
On to the semi-finals for the fourth time in five years. SRFC will face Montpellier HSC there on the weekend of 25 and 26 April.
