Having made his Ligue 1 debut with Angers, Estéban Lepaul quickly demonstrated his undeniable attacking qualities. Arriving in Brittany in August 2025 with high hopes, the striker immediately lived up to expectations. Three days after his arrival, against his former club, he scored his first goal. The 2025/2026 season was to be his breakthrough season. Capable of shooting from any position, the Auxerre-born player featured in every league match, starting only once from the bench. His first standout performance came against Strasbourg in November, when he scored a hat-trick in a truly spectacular display at Roazhon Park.
After an outstanding second half of the season, scoring 12 goals – including 7 in his last 7 matches – the Rouge et Noir went on to claim the Top Scorer trophy, which he received in Marseille at the close of matchday 34.
Already under contract with Stade Rennais F.C. until 2029, Estéban Lepaul has extended his deal for a further year, driven by the desire to continue his spectacular run of form. In the Red and Black.
