Post-match feelings

"Did I feel nervous? No, but we knew that we could face a scenario like this in the cup, being tested by the result, not necessarily by adversity, because we were completely dominant. They scored on their first attempt. That's part of cup football, knowing how to come back in this kind of match. When you're 1-0 down in these conditions, with the intense cold, you have to stay calm, as we did against Les Sables, and find the solution through your play. It came from a magnificent set piece. We then managed to make the difference.

These are difficult matches. In the cup, you can't expect to have an easy ride. We managed to qualify, which is the most important thing."

Cantilienne's resistance:

"They caused us problems with their athleticism, the quality of their play at times, and their strategy of playing long balls to fast players. In N2, there are players who have come through training centres and others who have failed to hold on to their places in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2. They have experienced players, such as Ernest Seka at the back. We need to improve our quality, be more dominant in the final third and improve our ability to find the weak spot. We can still improve. The positive thing is that we still scored three goals. We score every time, we score a lot, and we need to keep that up."

Elias Legendre Quiñonez's first goal

"He's ready. In training, he has the intensity we demand, and the technical ability too. He's entering the competition, he's one of our top strikers. We wanted to create some competition within the attack, we need that. Today, he comes on and makes a decisive impact. He's a hard-working lad who's progressing quickly. He also needs to understand that this is part of the learning process. I'm very happy to see him score, because it's important for a striker to validate his performance with statistics. "

Alidu Seidu came off injured

‘He took a very heavy tackle. He has a big wound on his shin and couldn't continue playing because the pain was too intense. We hope he recovers quickly, but it may take some time. We're lucky to be playing again in seven days, as the match against Le Havre is quite a long way off. I hope he'll be OK.’

Quentin Merlin's performance

‘He stays behind after training to practise direct free kicks. He has a great left foot, his free kicks are magnificent. What I like about Quentin is that he started out as a right-sided winger and now plays on the left. He also played very well against Lille in the centre of the pitch. He offers us a very interesting range of skills.’
