The French Football Federation has unveiled its usual annual ranking of training centres, which takes the following criteria into account:

  • Professionalism
  • Playing time in the national team
  • National caps
  • Education
  • European representation

With the highest average score, SRFC was named France's best training centre for the third season running. Paris-SG and AS Monaco complete the podium.

Since 1977, the Stade Rennais F.C. training centre has been a strong part of the club, with the aim of taking young players to the highest sporting and academic level. Volunteers, educators, medical staff, recruiters, coordinators, employees, teachers, school life, managers... Congratulations to all those who have actively worked to achieve this distinction.

Arnaud Pouille, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stade Rennais F.C. :

« This third consecutive award symbolises Stade Rennais F.C.'s ongoing commitment to training and its Academy.

Our congratulations go to Denis Arnaud (Academy Director), Philippe Barraud (Recruitment Director), Corentin Bataille (pre-training and football academy) and Philippe Debray (schooling - ETP Odorico), as well as to all the staff and managers who support our young people in their development on a daily basis.

I would also like to pay tribute to the club's administrative staff, our supporters and families, who do not hesitate to rally en masse and regularly behind our Academy's teams and events.

These titles - such as the federal ranking and the Gambardella won again this season - are the reward for a collective effort.

As we often point out, training is at the heart of the Stade Rennais project. This new federal recognition is further tangible proof of everyone's actions and contributions in this direction.»

Philippe Barraud, Director of Youth Recruitment :

«This title represents a consistent performance by all the components of the Academy and the club in maintaining this training project at the highest level.

The collective construction of the individual recruited, both in academic and sporting terms, has once again been rewarded and honoured this season.

The Stade Rennais F.C. is delighted to be able to train, develop, support and take young players to the very highest level, as can be seen in particular from the players who played for the club during the second half of the season. Six consecutive titles for the best training centre and then these three distinctions again is real recognition and also symbolises the understanding of a club that gives space to its training. »

Denis Arnaud, Director Academie :

« The high standards we all share have helped us to achieve this landmark award in the competitive world of top-level football.

This is no accident, but rather the result of the coherent work of all the Academy's teams in the service of the professional team.

I'd like to personally thank all the coaches, especially Philippe and Corentin, without whom this success would not have been possible.

This distinction honours us and obliges us to continue with the same high standards and passion, so that we can continue to progress, perform and perfect our expertise in the development of Rennes players in the service of the club. »
