One point is all

‘The reason for satisfaction is that we managed to bring home a point, which is miraculous. I told the boys not to hang their heads, because it's incredible to get a point in a match like this.’

Overall disappointment

"Technically and in terms of intensity, we're not up to scratch. We had a favourable scenario because the opposition was down to ten men. Tactically, we made changes to make an impact and gain an attacking position, but we weren't effective. Their counter-attacks had us on tenterhooks. It wasn't enough. The responsibility also lies in the choices that were made. There are no players in the mixed zone, and I want to take responsibility for that. If we had conceded one or two goals tonight, the analysis would have been different. We need to take more responsibility for what we have to do collectively. Tonight, there were technical errors, and surprisingly, they were all over the pitch."

Offensive play

‘My job is to make sure things are better next time, especially in terms of offensive play. Tonight, we should have had more impact. We have four offensive players and the impact wasn't there. So it's not necessarily a question of profiles, but rather of play. We're not managing to hurt them, to impact them, and that's my responsibility.’

The Estéban-Breel connection

‘I'm expecting more depth. We need to work on their connection and how they complement each other. If you look at Estéban's goal in Nantes, it was Breel's run that created the space. This connection is very recent.’
