“You always want it to keep going. Especially when you’re hosting a direct rival, it’s even more frustrating. We made mistakes early on in each half. Against this sort of opponent, you inevitably pay the price. We had some good spells and chances to create, but we really should have avoided conceding two goals so quickly. ”

SRFC hampered by LOSC’s tactical set-up

“At times, we stayed too high up the pitch. We also needed more players in the middle. Players were getting behind the defence too quickly. Against an experienced, well-organised side with quality, you need to create numerical superiority because, sometimes, they break deep too quickly. We could have shown a bit more variety in our runs off the line. I would also have liked to see more precision in the few chances we had late in the game. ”

A lack of aggression on the first goal

There are things to correct to get back on a winning streak. There are still matches to play, and plenty of points to be won. If we want to qualify for Europe, we’ll need consistency and fewer mistakes on the pitch.”
