A different face in the second half
"We were destabilised by the injuries to Valentin and Alidu, who were two driving forces in the first half. Valentin in terms of the team's balance, Alidu in terms of his dynamism, his ability to go deep and switch between a three-man and four-man defence. Nantes played with more intensity and control in the second half. We never got back into the game. In a stadium and a derby like this, we weren't able to maintain our lead. The result is logical."
Post-match feelings
"I feel disappointment, frustration and incomprehension, because there were warning signs before half-time, with a lack of dynamism. We fell into a defensive mindset. That led to us losing possession in our own half, which our opponents exploited. I had warned the team about Nantes' extra intensity and changes in play. If we had kept control of the ball, we would have been able to channel that."
The double blow of two injuries at half-time
"It wasn't part of our game plan, but you have to accept these scenarios. We've had two games where we turned the match around, against Marseille and Lyon. We don't deserve more than this point. In the second half, we didn't have the control and defensive accuracy needed to maintain the score. That's two points lost. As I've always said, there are no random results. We let the game slip away too much, and they went out and seized their destiny."
The decision to replace an attacker with a defender (Hans Hateboer for Ludovic Blas)
‘We had a problem on the wing with Anthony, who had already been booked. We wanted to strengthen that position while still being able to attack them in depth with Mousa Al-Tamari. Sometimes changes have an impact, sometimes they don't, that's just the way it is.’
