Reduced to ten men for the whole of the second half, Rennes kept up the pressure on Nantes, putting in a solid display, but finally succumbed to Moses Simon's own goal at the very end. The derby ended in confusion when Christopher Wooh was denied an equaliser, followed by Jorge Sampaoli's dismissal from the bench.
