Estéban Lepaul
The match
“After a tough game in Paris, we reacted in the best possible way, even though we had a very difficult start to the match. We managed to respond as we’ve done before and win this game 3–1, which is perfect for us. It’s a match where we fell into Stade Brestois’ game, a team that wins duels and is capable of putting a huge amount of intensity into their pressing.
We stuck to what we like to do — playing the ball, getting out of tight spaces. But unfortunately tonight that was complicated, because it’s something they do very well. We tried to weather the storm as much as possible at the beginning. We conceded that goal, but we’ll take lessons from that start to the match.”
Individual mistakes by Brest
“It was a difficult match, and there were mistakes on their side. We took advantage of them, and that’s perfect for us.”
Mousa Al-Tamari as the spearhead
“Mousa is a player with a huge amount of quality. He’s very combative and always gives 1,000%. I’m very happy for him — that he won those two balls to set me up for the first goal and then finished the second one himself.”
On scoring again…
“Yes, I’m very happy. I’m obsessed with scoring, and it had started to feel like a long wait. Even though we were winning matches, which is the most important thing. On a personal level, scoring tonight gives me real satisfaction.”
Heading into the holidays in good shape
“Yes, we’re on track and in line with what we want to achieve this season. Everyone knows our ambitions. And at the end of 2025, we’re completely in the right pack. So it’s very good to finish the league on this positive note.”
