Post-match feelings

"We weren't there in every area, in terms of aggression, technical quality, and the organisation we needed to have in pressing. We were completely scattered. We got caught up in their possession. Despite everything, we recovered balls that we should have exploited better. Today, technically, we were below par. The first goal was a case in point: we were punished. It hurt because we felt we were on a par with them, that we could hit back. We then brought on some players who had been warming up to try and change things, but the second goal came very quickly before we could change the momentum."

The losing streak

"We have to take it in stride and stay calm. Yes, it's our second defeat in a row, and we know the schedule is difficult, but we still have to stay calm. We won almost everything for three months. We're going through a rough patch, and that's when we have to stay calm. We have a match coming up very soon in the Coupe de France, which will allow us to see other players and continue to create the competitive spirit that has been lacking a little in recent weeks."

Lessons learned

‘When you suffer a defeat like this, you evolve, just as we evolved when we went through a bad patch a few months ago. Today, some of our players didn't perform as well as they usually do. We need to ask ourselves why. When individuals underperform, others need to step up and take their place. On Tuesday, there will be opportunities, and we'll need to seize them.’

The absence of Valentin Rongier

"With his leadership, what he brings in terms of structure, and the calmness we need in midfield, his technical quality, without him we felt like we had no leaders. I expected much more from leaders who weren't up to scratch technically. I'm not talking about commitment, they give their all, that's not a problem. But these matches are won through technical leadership."
