Arriving in Brittany in August 2023 from Cameroon and the Académie des Brasseries in Douala, Mahamadou Nagida quickly demonstrated his true potential under the Red and Black banner. A particularly offensive full-back or wing-back, capable of moving forward very quickly, he was launched into professional football by Julien Stéphan in the Europa League, three months after his arrival in France.

Since then, the Cameroonian has enjoyed steady progress. Under Jorge Sampaoli, he scored his first Ligue 1 goal away to Monaco, then did it again in Saint-Étienne, brought on by Habib Beye in the second half. This summer, Nagi' officially began his adventure with the Indomitable Lions with a victory crowned by an assist against Uganda, and since the resumption of the championship, he has made four appearances.

On Monday, Mahamadou extended his contract with the Rouge et Noir, stretching it until 2029. SRFC is delighted to be able to count on its defender for the long term.
