The French U19 team got off to an ideal start in their Euro 2026 qualifying campaign with a convincing 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Wednesday afternoon. In Hungary, Joël-Emmanuel Coulibaly started the match wearing the captain's armband. The Rennes midfielder led the way by scoring the first goal in the 8th minute. Substitute Ayoub Akabou did not come on during the match.
