Mohamed Chebbi’s latest standout performance came just a few days ago. On the pitch at Valenciennes in the Gambardella Cup, against a team dominating their league, the right-footed player set his side on the right track. Well picked out by Noah Loufoundou, he controlled the ball in two touches before opening the scoring. Precise from set pieces, the Breton then found Ruben Lomet to double the lead, adding an assist to his tally. Having played above his age group and crowned Gambardella champion in 2025, the player, who started out in his hometown of Vendôme, has been representing the Red & Black since 2023. Capable of playing as a right-back or winger, he joined from Blois, where he spent five seasons.

Selected for France youth teams

This year, the Franco-Tunisian has featured for William Stanger’s sides (7 appearances with the U19s, 4 in the Gambardella) and for Sébastien Tambouret (11 matches in National 3). Continuing his progression, Lionel Rouxel also handed him his debut with the France U18 team, after previously calling him up to the U16s (12 caps) and U17s (2).

A promising profile, capable of taking on defenders and quickly driving forward, Mohamed Chebbi stands out with his sharp bursts of acceleration down the flank. This Thursday, the Red & Black player signed his first professional contract until 2029. Congratulations, Mohamed!

Mohamed Chebbi :
« I feel a great deal of joy and shared pride with my family and the staff. The hardest part—and the best—is still to come. I have so many memories here, especially the Gambardella. I’ve grown up in Red and Black. Rennes is a special place for me. Stade Rennais is my club. On the pitch? I give everything—I’m a team player, bold, with a rather attacking profile. »

Denis Arnaud, Director of the Academy :

« Mohamed is a player with exceptional athletic ability, capable of sustaining high-intensity efforts over time. He is also a young man of great character, embodying the values of the Academy and the club: generosity, hard work, ambition… We have every confidence in him; he ticks all the boxes to continue his journey at Stade Rennais, and we hope he will soon be able to join the first-team squad. »
