A Griffon from the U9s through to the U15s, with two years at the Ploufragan U14-U15 youth academy, Paolo made his debut for Stade Rennais F.C. with the U16s in the 2020/2021 season. A product of the partnership with Stade Briochin, the native of the Costarmorican region took part in the 2022/2023 Gambardella campaign (semi-final defeat to Clermont) alongside Lionel Ngangue, Jeanuel Belocian, Mathis Silistrie, Jérémy Jacquet and Désiré Doué.

A left-footed holding midfielder with an intelligent reading of the game, Paolo endured a difficult final season, hampered by an adductor injury. Despite being away from the pitch, Paolo has continued to display the same mentality that has characterised him since his arrival at Rennes: attentiveness, rigour and a desire to progress.

Arnaud Pouille, Executive Chairman - Chief Executive Officer :
« Paolo is the third player to emerge from the partnership between Stade Briochin and Stade Rennais, and the first to sign as a professional. We would like to thank all those involved in maintaining this excellent relationship between the two clubs. We wish Paolo, a hard-working lad who listens well and shares the same values as SRFC, every success in representing the Red and Black team and its expertise.»

Denis Arnaud, Académie Director :
« Paolo has set an example since his arrival at the training centre. It's the support work we do with our partner clubs that is paying off today. Collaborations are built over the long term, and we're delighted to be able to make this one a reality with this signing, even more so in a prosperous year for Stade Briochin.

Along with the whole Academy, we want to give Paolo the opportunity to have a full season and show us that the trust placed in him is well deserved.

He's a defensive midfielder with very strong technical qualities. He also has great athletic ability in one-on-one situations. All he needs to do now is to reach the level of intensity that will enable him to make the step up to the pros in the future. »

Paolo Limon :
« It's a dream come true, and I'm delighted to sign my first professional contract with Stade Rennais, one of the region's leading clubs. I'd like to thank the club for their confidence in me. Coming from Saint-Brieuc and signing with Rennes, one of the best training centres in France and Europe, is a great source of pride. It's been a complicated season, but we're taking advantage of it to work on other aspects such as our mental and physical fitness. There are ups and downs, doubts and questions, but I've never given up and I've always worked hard. I'm doing everything I can to come back stronger. I'm reathletising and I'm feeling good. »
