« What validates the plans is the performance of the players. Tonight, they put in a great collective performance, in all areas of the game, with the ball, without the ball, in their discipline, in their rigour, in their passing, in their collective movement. The difficulty against this Nice team was to control the tempo, not to get sucked in, and for that we needed a lot of discipline from the front line. The forwards were top class, they constantly conditioned the position of the block, and that was well executed. With the ball, we had to be able to create space and exploit the areas well. All in all, it was an accomplished match, certainly a reference match, and one that will need to be confirmed over time. I'd say it was an intelligent, well-constructed and ambitious game. We're pleased, it's the culmination of a very good week's work. We'll have to do it again next week. To build momentum, we needed this kind of performance. All credit to the players because they were all very good. I'm not being complacent, because we know very well with the players that confirmation is needed. »
