A promising young player for Stade Rennais F.C., Yaël Thebault suffered a cruciate ligament rupture last October against OC Cesson, but is gradually getting back into competitive action. Accustomed to playing in the U17 and N3 championships since joining the club, the French international, who has 12 youth caps to his name, played his first minutes in the U19 championship last Sunday at Avranches. "I'm very happy to be back on the pitch. I've been eagerly awaiting this moment for eleven months. Being able to play again is pure joy. Personally, I felt good, like I could play freely and feel solid on my feet. It was only twenty-five minutes, but I made the most of it."

Signed until 2028 with his first professional contract on 14 November 2024, Yaël should see his playing time increase gradually over the coming weeks.
