Born on 10 May 2006, Jonathan Do Marcolino took his first steps on the pitch with US Lavalloise from 2011 to 2015, then with Stade Lavallois until 2017. At the age of 11, the young defender joined the Rouge et Noir Academy and successfully completed each stage.

In the 2023/2024 season, Jonathan saw his first minutes of action with the reserve team - he was voted best prospect in the 2024 Centres Tournament - before making his full mark the following season, playing in 22 league games and taking on the role of captain at the same time.

With this first professional contract, Jonathan Do Marcolino is now tied to his parent club until 2028.

Arnaud Pouille, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stade Rennais F.C. :
« The signing of a young player at Stade Rennais is always an important event. It's a reward not only for their achievements, but also for those of the recruiters and coaches. We hope he continues to flourish. It's also a symbolic signing, as it further underlines the strong links between the Do Marcolino family, made up of some very good players, and that of SRFC. »

Loïc Désiré, Sporting Director of Stade Rennais F.C. :
« We're delighted because he's a player who represents the Rennes identity. He's been with the club for a long time, he's captain of the N3, he embodies the training policy and its success. He has great physical qualities, he's a confident player and he's not captain for nothing. We're going to do everything we can to help him progress. We have high hopes for his development. »

Jonathan Do Marcolino :
« I'm very proud after having given everything during my eight years at the club. I had a great last year, both individually and as a team. We went a long way in the U-21 challenge, and things also went very well in the league. The aim is to make further progress and compete at a higher level. »
