Late success

"We never doubted ourselves, we created a lot of chances and we lacked technical quality in the final third. Every time we won the ball back, we were able to launch another attack, which is positive. Breel and Estéban were playing very wide, we knew that would wear the team down and they defended well, so it took us a while to open the scoring."

The role of Breel Embolo

"Breel is developing well. I'll let you in on a secret, he was about to be taken off. That coaching decision paid off because I didn't do it (smiles). Breel scored two top-class goals. You might not see him in a match, but then he converts his chances. It's a reward for what he does in training for the young players. The best learning experience for Kader Meïté and Elias Legendre Quiñonez is to work with Breel Embolo every day."

His counterpart Julien Fradet

‘I would like to thank Julien for his words before the match. I was quite impressed by their determination to play the ball out under pressure and stick to their principles. Julien hasn't changed his philosophy. His team has quality, and what they've put in place proves him right. It's normal to win 3-0 when you're four divisions apart.’

Ludovic Blas' positioning

"He's not neutral. I get the impression that he's struggling to find his feet in that position. When a player doesn't get regular playing time, it's difficult. It was a position he was familiar with, so perhaps he needs to be assigned a specific position to get him in the best possible frame of mind. "

Mathys Silistrie

‘As I said, I'm not giving him any favours. Hervé (Sekli) and Olivier (Sorin) say he's made a lot of progress. It's a clean sheet and he was there when he needed to be to make that save. It's a great start.’

First steps as a professional for Paolo Limon

"Every time we bring players into the professional squad, it's not a gift. If we don't think they're ready, we don't take them into the squad. Paolo trains with us every day. I saw him in the Challenge Espoirs against Ajaccio and I thought he was a quality player. He's discovering a new position and the scale of the score gives us the opportunity to play him. It's a reward for his hard work."
