Having come through the ranks at Stade Rennais F.C., Jérémy Jacquet first gained experience in the club’s youth teams before signing his first professional contract in 2022. The Bondy-born player made his top-flight debut on 13 January 2024, in a 2–0 victory over OGC Nice at Roazhon Park.

In the summer of 2024, Jérémy was loaned out to Clermont Foot. In Auvergne, he gained playing time and experience, making 17 Ligue 2 appearances in particular. His strong performances in the second tier of French football convinced the Rouge et Noir management to recall him during the winter transfer window. Between 8 February and 17 May 2025, he started 11 matches, missing just two.

Whilst the 24/25 season was his breakthrough year, the 25/26 season was the one in which he cemented his status. He started every match in the first half of the Ligue 1 season, playing 1,853 minutes out of a possible 1,980. Impressed by his profile and performances, Liverpool signed Jérémy Jacquet in the winter of 2026, but allowed him to finish the season on loan in Brittany. Unfortunately, he suffered a shoulder injury against Lens on 7 February and missed the rest of the season.

Today, Jérémy, the pride of the Rouge et Noir Academy, officially joins the British club.
