« It's my group's victory, I told them. I asked them to take the game on board and to consider that they had a magnificent evening to enjoy at Roazhon Park and to give pleasure to those who support them.

We're very pleased with the result, which lasted 95 minutes. The team showed character and a faultless state of mind. That's what I expected and that's why I was so harsh after Toulouse. We competed in all areas of the game, technically and tactically. We also suffered, as we knew we would. The team played with confidence, we changed the protocol a bit, we tried to activate some levers, and the team grasped what we wanted.

The players responded with a collective unity rarely seen this season against a top League 1 team. In football, there's no mystery: when you deserve to win, you win. We scored three magnificent goals, and I still have Djaoui Cissé's exceptional goal stuck in my throat. We were very consistent in the way we played and the new players had a positive impact on the match. I'm proud of the boys, who showed a lot of pride.

I think Arnaud is capable of scoring a lot of goals. His performance deserved the standing ovation. They played for each other with goals that were built collectively, with creativity. Ludovic Blas also gave us a lot of availability. Everyone was very good. Brice Samba played a match of immense quality.

I told Djaoui on Tuesday that he would be starting. I want him to grow, that's my objective, he's learning the hard way as he did at Lyon. At 21 years of age, he needs to keep progressing by playing matches like he is doing. His games in Lyon and Toulouse weren't good, and I expected him to raise his game. I'm not surprised by his performance tonight, he has the qualities to win at Stade Rennais F.C.

Azor Matusiwa is discovering a new position and he was again the decisive passer tonight. I think we've improved a lot with Azor. I'm pleased with the way he complements Djaoui. It's a real asset. »
