In their third pre-season match, the Rouge et Noir beat SCO Angers on Saturday afternoon at the Stade Municipal de Vitré. It was a 2-1 win after a hard-fought game. Rennes took advantage of a good start to take an early lead, thanks to goals from Benjamin Bourigeaud (4‘) and Amine Gouiri (16’). Despite a penalty corner from former Rennes player Cédric Hountondji, the Rouge et Noir left Vitré with a confidence-boosting victory.
