Rennes were dominant but lacking in goals, and will regret not having been able to take the lead in the first half. The Champenois, on the other hand, made the difference in the second half and lifted their club up to 9th place in the league. It's been a difficult season for the Rouge et Noir, who nonetheless enjoyed an exciting Europa League play-off against AC Milan and a French Cup semi-final against PSG. Another hat-trick from Melvin Jambry. The U17s came out on top against Vertou in their final game of the season, finishing third, as did the U19s, who were held to a draw at Vertou. Before finishing with a visit from VOC, the reserves picked up a point at Lannion.

Enthusiasm, commitment and plenty of action, but the final home game of the season left something to be desired. Les Rennais drew 1-1 with Lens and, having finished 9th this evening, the Rouge et Noir will finish the season in 8th place at best.
