Alsace – in Baldenheim and Colmar – and Lorraine with ASNL were the first two regions Estéban set foot in as a child. Things got serious at the age of 15 when he was invited by Olympique Lyonnais to join their training centre. He honed his goal-scoring instinct with Les Gones for seven years alongside other Lyon talents such as Pierre Kalulu, Georges Mikautadze and Amine Gouiri. Not retained in the Rhône, he then signed with Épinal in N2, scoring 5 goals in 8 matches. The following season, he moved to Orléans. During his two seasons in the Loiret, he scored 25 goals in 72 matches in all competitions (National, N3, CDF).

When Épinal was promoted to National, Estéban Lepaul returned to the Yellow and Blues in 2023. Once again, he scored goals galore: 14 in 20 matches (12 goals in 16 league matches). Angers sensed a good opportunity and signed the National's top scorer midway through the season. At the higher levels, he confirmed his finishing skills and scored 17 goals in 50 matches, with the Raymond Kopa stadium appreciating both the player and the man during his 19 months in Anjou.

In the stands at Roazhon Park two weeks ago, watching curiously as Olympique de Marseille were welcomed to the stadium, Estéban Lepaul got a good glimpse of the excitement he could bring to the Rennes terraces.

Our new number 9 could be in contention for the squad that will face Angers on Sunday.

Welcome Estéban !
