After a satisfactory start, Rennes were shaken up at the end of the first half, but came back with renewed energy in the second half before falling victim to a Le Havre counterattack in the 69th minute. Stung into action, the Red and Blacks put in a strong finish to the match, managing to equalise (Breel Embolo in the 86th minute) but failing to take the lead. Among other things, they had three goals disallowed. Although they didn't get the points they were hoping for, Habib Beye's side remain unbeaten.
