At the heart of a historic weekend
This weekend, SRFC brought together several generations of former players for a reunion and celebration to mark the club’s 125th anniversary. From the U17 match on Saturday to the walkabout in the FanZone on Sunday, via a visit to the Hall of Legends and a tour of the Piv2, the Red and Blacks shared many moments rich in emotion and memories. After sharing the 125th-anniversary cake with around a hundred former players who had come to celebrate with the Rouge et Noir fans at Roazhon Park, Stade Rennais F.C. unfortunately also had to settle for a draw against FC Metz. It wasn’t for lack of trying, with 25 shots on goal. The Rouge et Noir remain seventh, two points behind Monaco.

The pressure applied to the opposition in the final half-hour and Estéban Lepaul’s 14th goal of the season were not enough to turn the tide. Lille move ahead in the table to 5th, whilst SRFC are 7th.
